Islamic frames for children
Among the greatest blessings of Allah SWT is our children. There is no greater joy than holding your newborn child, caring for and teaching him/her our beliefs and morals, and seeing them grow into practising, law-abiding, God-fearing Muslims.
The Quran has a special dua that a Believer can make for finding happiness in his/her child.
In Surah Furqan, verse 74, Allah (SWT) says:
âAnd those who say: Oh our Lord, gift us a gift for our spouses, our children, and future generations the coolness of eyes and make us leaders over those who are righteous, pious, and fearful.â
In the above verse, ÙÙرÙÙâة٠أÙعÙÙÙÙÙ, qurrata ayuni, means âthe coolness of eyesâ. It is an Arabic metaphor which means âa source of joy and comfort that cools your eyes.â Tears of joy, in Arabic and in the Quran, are referred to as âcoolness of the eyes.â
The expression âthe coolness of eyesâ also appears in Surah Taha, verse 40.
"[And We favoured you (O Moses)] when your sister went and said, âShall I direct you to someone who will be responsible for him?â So We restored you to your mother that her eyes cool (she might be content) and not grieve."
When Asiah, the pious wife of the evil Pharoah found baby Moses (AS) in the river, she picked him up, and said: âqurratu âainil-lii wa lakâ, may this baby become the coolness of my eyes and yours, referring to her husband.
We, at Baradari, have launched a collection of frames called âQurratul Ayyuniâ. Get the name of your child written in Arabic calligraphy, below the words âQurratul Ayyuniâ, and framed. Keep it in your home or office. Also, gift it to a new parent on their childâs birth. Surely, a rare, personalised gift that will last for long and cherished by all.

Motivational desk frames inspired by the Quran
The Quran is full of gems. The verses, the passages, the chapters, the parables may differ in words and phrases, but they all essentially talk of the same concepts â that we must believe in Allah, rely on Him and follow His commands if we wish to live in peace and contentment.
At Baradari, we have taken some of these concepts, inspired by the Quran, written them in calligraphy, and neatly framed them. You can place these little frames as powerful reminders on your desk or shelf, home or office. Gift them to yourself, or your loved one.

Calligraphy postcards
Categories: ArticlesWe would carefully tuck away the postcard in a drawer or a cupboard, protecting and preserving it for times to come. We, at Baradari, are attempting to revive the tradition of sending postcards with pictures of beautiful Arabic calligraphy. On the front side is a classy image of traditional calligraphy and on the back is enough space for you to pen down your expressions of love and care. It's an attempt to revive and promote two vintage traditions together - the sharing of postcards, and the art of calligraphic writing. Since almost all of our calligraphy is Islamic, and you are worried that it may not be handled with enough care or respect while in transit, then, well, we have a solution.

Mercy of Allah
Categories: ArticlesAmong the 99 Beautiful Names of Allah, the two that we recite the most are "Al Rahman" and "Al Raheem". The two names are part of the opening verse of the Quran, "Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Rahmeem". Since "Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Raheem" precedes every chapter of the Quran, except one, we recite it when we say the Surahs. In fact, we say these two Beautiful Names of Allah in every salah of ours. An entire Surah is titled "Al Rahman". "Al Rahman" in English is translated as "Most Gracious" and "Al Raheem" as "Most Merciful". Both "Al Rahman" and "Al Raheem" are derived from the root "Rahm", which means womb in Arabic.

Why Islamic calligraphy art?
Categories: ArticlesWhy do Muslims like to decorate their homes with Islamic calligraphy art? Where and how did the art of writing the Quranic verses begin? Even as modern innovations such as wall decals and digital prints have added to the world of Islamic calligraphy art, today we plan to step back and talk about the origins of Islamic calligraphy.
The first reason for Islamic calligraphy to take off was the need to transcribe the Holy Quran in the form of a book so that later generations could read it.
