Bilingual (Urdu-English) Nikahnama
After the success of our Urdu and English nikahnamas, we now bring to you our “bilingual nikahnama” collection. A bilingual nikahnama, as the name suggests, is an Islamic marriage contract written in two languages – Urdu and English. With this dual language nikahnama, you can preserve the tradition of keeping an Urdu nikahnama, as well as have an English translation for practical purposes.
Each of our nikahnamas is a work of art, with rich, intricate colourful designs inspired by Islamic heritage from India, Arabia, Iran and Central Asia. The Arabic and Urdu calligraphy is handwritten by veteran artist Mohammed Ilyas, while the English calligraphy uses an artistic digital font.
Each design can be personalised with the names of the bride and groom and their respective fathers.
To make you feel even more special on your big day, the nikahnama can be attached to a wooden scrollholder and placed in a box made of velvet and satin.
Our nikahnamas are, thus, a blend of art and law. Use them as legal documents. Frame them for your bedroom. Or treasure them as pieces of heritage that you can pass on to your future generations.
